Our People

Caroline Murray

As a chartered Civil Engineer, I have spent nearly 20 years working for larger consultancy firms managing the delivery of a variety of multi-stakeholder projects across the public and private sector: from waterfront developments, marinas and harbour regeneration to flood defence schemes, coastal realignment and river restoration projects.

After the birth of my second daughter I decided I needed a change of pace. I wanted a job that could be more flexible and adaptive to our family life and I had a strong desire to use my skills to really ‘make a difference’ and to help shape a better future for my kids. So, in August 2014, Calm Engineering was founded and, like the rest of my family, has grown and evolved into what it is today: a community focused engineering business that has nature at its heart.

We nurture nature to build a more resilient and sustainable future for our planet.
